THE JEWELRY
If you are looking for something unique and eye-catching to wear, then fused glass dichroic jewelry is what you have been searching for. The appeal of the changing color and texture of this glass jewelry is highly sought after by those looking for one of a kind wearable art.
The most important aspect of art is the artist, and Linda has totally embraced this glass using its ever-changing colors in her free-form designs as well as traditional full-fused pieces.
Her most popular pieces are:
|
PENDANTS: These are available in a variety of ways: as Full-fused with a smooth clear cover or as tack-fused which is textured and produces more vibrant colors. Some pendants have just a simple bail to accept a chain, while others are fused with a horizontal hole to accept a cord or chain. NECKLACES: Dichroic glass may be combined with various other mediums, such as silver, pearls, Swarovski crystal, and semi-precious beads. |
BRACELETS: Made of five (5) color-coordinated links with fine silver wire fused into the glass, sterling silver findings and toggle complete the design. To determine your bracelet size, measure your wrist using a piece of string. Available in 4 sizes: SMALL 5 ½ inch, MEDIUM 6 inch, LARGE 7 inch, and CUSTOM. If additional links are needed or desired, the price will be adjusted proportionally. The artist allows for a loose fit depending upon the measurement you provide. |
|
PINS: A brass pin finding is glued to the glass. CUFFLINKS & LETTER OPENERS: are also available. |
EARRINGS: Available as post or dangle, the findings are all silver or gold filled. On the dangles, fine silver is fused into the glass for added strength. Some of the designs may be combined with Swarovski crystal or small pearls or beads. Ear-wires may also be of anodized niobium (hypoallergenic). |
|
WIRE-WRAPPING: Glass as well as lapidary (faceted or cabochon) pieces are available. The artist will custom wrap any piece of glass or stone of your choice. In addition, if you have a special piece of your own that you would like to have wire-wrapped, please contact the artist. |

THE COLORS
The base color of the jewelry is unlimited because the art glass upon which the dichroic is placed, comes in all colors-vibrant and hot colors of red, orange and yellow, to the cooler colors of green, blue, lilac and pink, and of course black, white, brown and clear.
The dichroic glass usually has two featured colors. For example a color called Green/Pink will have a pale pink color shift to pale green, while a more complex color called Green/Magenta/Blue, will appear magenta when viewed from one angle, yet blue or green from others. When the glass is textured, all colors will be visible at once. By managing combination of several of these colors, the talent and knowledge of the artist makes each piece of jewelry come alive.
